Gift Aid it
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your gift by nearly 30% through Gift Aid. All you have to do is tick the box at the Gift Shop checkout and we can reclaim Gift Aid on your gift.
If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can also claim the difference
between the higher rate of tax you have paid and the lower rate of tax
we can reclaim (currently 18%) in your self-assessment tax return. If
you are feeling even more generous, you can choose to donate this amount
to County Durham Foundation as well by completing the relevant section
in your tax return, stating that you wish to donate this amount to charity,
quoting County Durham Foundation and our unique charity code HAC70JG.
