How do I select a gift?
You can browse our gifts by clicking on the 'Browse our Gifts'
star that appears on the companies' homepage and on most other pages
at the left-hand side of the screen. This will take you to the first of
three gift pages, from which you can choose a gift that is close to the
heart of your organisation, employees, prospects or customers.

How is this different
from a normal Christmas card?
An image of the gift you choose together with a brief description will
be printed on the inside of your card, so everyone who receives your company
Christmas card will be know where your donation has gone and who it will
help.

Wouldn't it just be
easier to order from a printers?
Not at all, we work with professional printers who produce fantastic quality
cards, personalised with your own company logo and message. Your cards
will also be delivered to your company within 14 days of your order being
placed. Unless you ask us not to, we will hold all early Christmas card
orders to be sent out on the week commencing 3rd December.
The ordering process is all done on-line and takes only a matter of minutes. You can choose your card, add your message and upload your logo in a few easy steps eliminating the countless calls and emails you would have to make to a printing company and you give to charity at the same time!

But isn't this a lot
more expensive?
In fact it's exactly the opposite the price you pay per card
is at cost, unlike other companies we will make no profit from the sale
of these cards. All we ask instead is that you make a donation to our
charity, 100% of which goes to help deserving causes in County Durham
and Darlington. This is what makes County Durham Foundation cards different
from so many other charity Christmas cards where on average less than
5% of your money actually gets to your chosen charity. You can save even

How long will it take for
my order to be delivered?
This depends on the size of the order but we aim to send out your cards
to be received by 1st December at the latest. We can process late orders
after 1st December, so don't worry if you don't place your order
until after then. You can also specify a different delivery date during
checkout if you want to.

What is included in the price
I pay?
The price you pay includes a donation, which will pay for the gift you
have chosen, and a charge for card production. From you donation, 90%
will go directly to helping good causes of your choice in County Durham
and Darlington. We charge a 10% administration payment on your gift but
remember that, as a registered local charity working to help local people,
this money is going to a good cause as well. So, unlike other charity
Christmas cards, where a fraction of the card price actually ends up with
the charity, all of your donation will be helping local people. Visit

Why do I
need to pay for the card production costs separately?
We charge you the actual production costs with no mark-up but including
VAT. These will be added to the cost of your cards at checkout. By separating
these costs from your donation, it means that you can maximise the amount
of tax rebate you can reclaim in your tax return (currently 30%).
You cannot reclaim this amount on card production costs.

Can I claim back Corporation
Tax on my donation?
Yes if you pay Corporation Tax and it couldn't be simpler.
After you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email
and receipt. When completing your next tax return, you can note your donation
and deduct 30% (if you pay tax at 30%) of the value of your donation
from any tax payment due.

How can I cancel an order?
Once confirmation of your order has been received you have 48 hours in
which to contact us via email at giftshop@countydurhamfoundation.co.uk
or by telephone, 0191 3830055, to cancel the order. If cancellation is
within 24 hours a full refund will be made.

What is your returns policy?
All goods must be inspected immediately upon receipt. You must notify
us by email (giftshop@countydurhamfoundation.co.uk) or telephone (0191
3830055) within 7 working days of delivery if the goods are damaged. If
you fail to notify us of any damage within 7 days you will be deemed to
have accepted the goods.

Using your own image for
your Christmas cards
If you have already found an image you would like to use for the front
of your Chrsitmas cards all you need to do is tick the appropriate box
when you get to the 'Choose a Card' page while placing your order.
We will then get in touch with you after your order has been processed
to arrange for the image to be sent to us.
However if you do choose this option you MUST make sure you have the following:
An image quality of at least 600dpi
An image size of 15.6cm x 15.6cm (10834px by 1834px)
Written confirmation (an email will do) confirming that you have the rights
to reproduce the picture.
Please note this option is only available for companies ordering over
500 cards.
