Children and young people - St Barnabas Church Baby & Toddler Group
St
Barnabas Baby and Toddler Group was set up in 1996 to provide a safe,
fun environment in which babies, toddlers and their parents can come together.
The church group, which is based in Bournmoor, organises a range activities that the children are unlikely to access at home. Unfortunately however, they have limited resources for equipment and toys, much of which was originally donated second-hand.
A grant from the Gift Shop paid for some brand new toys and games, which the children are apparently delighted with. Some of the parents got in touch to tell us how they have been getting on:
'It is lovely to see clean and well looked after toys and there is no need to worry about choking hazards. There is a variety of toys every week so the children never get bored.'
'Luke's face when he say the new equipment and toys was amazing. He can't spend enough time in the 'shop' playing with the fruit and vegetables, it has helped his counting when he counts out the eggs in pretend play with the other children. It is lovely to watch that something like this can capture their imagination and help with their learning at the same time.'
